To introduce some compound noun and practice them in the context of a vacation plan.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide practice with noun + noun combinations.
Procedure (40-52 minutes)
Students are presented with old and new ways of doing a few things. Qs: What are the items in the picture? What is the difference between each pair? Which one is modern or traditional? (ICQ: what will you discuss? How much time do you have?)
Students are asked to read the convo and answer follow-up Qs. (ICQs): How much time do you have? Is this an individual assignment?
Ss will have a chance to read the text in detail and answer the Qs. Read the convo again and answer the Qs. (how much time do you have? Is it a group activity?)
Students are asked to write the Form under each picture (ICQs : How much time do you have? are you going to work in pairs?) Pronunciation is demoed and drilled
Ss will have to answer some Qs individually and use the correct forms of the compound nouns. ICQ: is this a pair work? how much time do you have ?
Ss will look at the slide again and discuss the following Qs. Where do you usually go shopping? -How often do you pay with a credit card? -Do you turn on the air conditioning or electric fan when you’re hot? (icq: how much time do you have?
