To provide review and practice of verbs+prepositions in the context of future arrangements and plans.
Procedure (70-101 minutes)
Students answer the question in pairs: "Why is planning for the future important?" and write down their partner's answer only.
Students look at the title of the questionnaire and predict questions and content of the text.
Students need to pay attention on verbs + prepositions and tranlate unknown words.
Students read the questions from questionnaire to interview they partner.
Students go to page 103 and calculate their own score based on the answers. Students need to share their scores with their partner.
Students go to the page 153 and do excercise A. They need to complete sentences with an appropriate preposition. This activity is conducted through guided discovery by working with whiteboard and by making up examples.
Students read the short text about Jake Bevan and predict his conversation with their partner about his calendar.
Students need to look at the activities Jake Bevan is going to do and tick activities, which are included to his calendar. They check their answers in pairs.
Students listen again the dialogue and need to write rime near the activities of his calendar. Then, they check they answers in pairs.
Students look at the sentences and complete missing words with an appropriate verb tense.
Students answer to the question related with Jake Bevan and Sarah's conversation.
Students need to go to page 130. They do Unit 3B and do given activities. They work in pairs. The blackboard is actively used during the lesson. Students with low lvel of English go to the board and write down sentences.
Students need to complete their own calendar with activities by interviewing each other.
