Main Aims

To provide listening practice for gist and detail in the context of choosing the right job.

Subsidiary Aims

To enable students to understand related vocabulary and get familiarized with the form and pronunciation.
To provide students fluency speaking practice in a vocab-related activity in the context of jobs

Procedure (45-55 minutes)

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1. Greetings, Introduce Ss to the topic of jobs -- Have Ss discuss questions about jobs (What is your job? do you like it?) Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible (gist)
