To develop students’ ability to talk about past habits using “used to” in the context of childhood and old habits.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide gist, scan and detailed reading practice using a text about You’re never too old for great things in the context of ageing.

To provide accuracy and fluency speaking practice in a role play in the context of habits.
Procedure (37-53 minutes)
Students will see different titles of different texts, and their aim is to find common ideas among them. They submit their answers as 1-2 words through mentimeter application with their phones.
Class make two rows facing each other. Then, learners ask each other the questions, they have only 60 seconds to do so. Once the 60 seconds are up, one of the rows rotates so each learner has a new partner.
Students read texts and math headlines with appropriate texts in pairs.
Students read the texts again and decide whether the statements are true (T) or false (F) in pairs.
Students learn about the usage of "used to" through examples and pictures through PPT.
Students look at pictures and describes Ryan's old habits in group of 3 students.
Students create imaginary person's old and new habits in a group of 3 people. They write their answers on a poster and present it to the class.
