Description

In this lesson student will listen to a file about a long distance relationship . At first we will talk about how long term relation ships even with relatives can be and learn some new words that will be used in the file . Then i will ask the students to look at the question part , let them observing it a little bit and then playing the file . If they couldnt remember any part of the listening i will play it for them again and letting them answer the question by their knowledge and at last will ask them about what changes we can make in relationship to improve it and make it better .

Main Aims

  • To provide detailed listening practice using a text about long distance relationship in the context of setting a date time

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a fun and useful conversation in the context of what arranges and changes we can make in a relationship to make it better

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

we will talk about any kind of long distance relationship we have experienced with others and what challenges we can be faced with. The teacher will start it with an example about himself and then ask the students about their own opinion or experience.

Pre-Reading/Listening (7-8 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

I will show them some photos about the blocking words that we will face and ask them to guess the word based on the picture. After that i will ask them to have a quick observe on the questions .

While-Reading/Listening #1 (5-6 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The students will listen to the file and try to answer the following questions that are bellow the listening part.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (5-6 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

If they couldnt answer any part of the question i will play the file fo them again and trying to make them answer the question by their own.

Post-Reading/Listening (5-6 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

At the end i will ask them to give the class some useful tips about any kid of relationships and how we can improve them and make them better.
