Description

In this lesson, students will learn clothes vocabulary through text-based approach. They will focus on its use in the sentences and correct pronunciation. Students will achieve this throughout reading exercise, discussion, controlled practice and a speaking activity (freer practice).

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Showing a pic of Mark Zuckerberg and highlighting that he always wears the same gray t-shirt to save time. Asking students to answer:" Do you like to wear the same clothes everyday at work? Why?" in pairs. Elicit from students what they learned in the last session "jobs" Some jobs requires the employers to wear the same clothes. Elicit the word "uniform"

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Students read for gist : Match each paragraph to a photo Ss read for specific information: Fill in the gaps Showing students Pictures and Try to elicit the target language

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language
