The teacher starts with short circle time and asks students about the weather. The weather condition can transit the topic to the question of what are we wearing in this weather. Then the teacher plays a song for students to sing and dance. Song: This Is The Way We Get Dressed | Kids Songs | Super Simple.
The teacher starts with what color is the puppet wearing and what is he wearing. The puppet's name is Caly (the calculator). He greets students and he wants to learn the new words for clothes. The teacher shares the flashcards on PowerPoint.
The teacher and the puppet (Caly) ask about the students' clothes: What are you wearing? Students ask each other, in pairs what are you wearing? (controlled practice). The teacher needs to be sure all the students have the chance to talk.
The teacher shares the game on the screen and asks students to click and guess the name of the clothes. https://wordwall.net/resource/62234592
The teacher checks the concept of a wardrobe, asks students what to hang in the wardrobe, and shares the papers with students that they have colored by their own choice of colors before. At this stage, students start to design their own wardrobe. They need to cut the items and stick to their favorite place.
If time allows, the teacher continues the lesson with puzzle activity for advanced students and they can lead students who need more support. This activity is organized as a group station.
