At first students are going to make predictions about what they are going to listen to. Then, teacher asks the students to listen carefully and write down the names of all the inventions that are mentioned in the audio. Play the audio for the first time and check the answers. Ask the students to listen again and say who were they invented by.
MEANING: Teacher writes 3 passive sentences from listening on the board. Have an explanation about the meaning of passive sentences. (The passive voice is used to show intrest in the person or object that ecperience an action rather than person or object that peforms the action) Ask CCQs: *What is common in these 3 sentences? (the names of the inventors come at last. And the names of the inventions come at first.) *Are we intrested in the inventions or the person who invented it? FORM: Teacher asks the students to help her write the structure of active voice for a review (subject+verb+object+rest of the sentance) Then writes a correct structure for turning an active sentence to passive: (object+verb to be+past participle+by+subject) Have a quick review of past participle. Tell all to be verbs of past and present simple. remind the students that passive is not a tense and it can be used in all the teneces. CCQs: give an example and ask the students to turn it to passive form. *Make yes no question. *Turn it to negative form. *turn it to past asn present. Give another example and do the same exercise.
