Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

After telling my students that imagine a hypotetical scenario, where money and time are not a concern. I will ask Ss to answer following questions 1. Where would you like to go? 2. Who would you like to go with? I will provide my answers first.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I will play an audio once, and Ss need to take notes regarding some questions I will display in a slide. As soon as the audio ends, I will send them to a breakout room to compare their answers. for this activity they will have 4 minutes. Finally, I will show a slide with the key answers.

Highlighting (3-5 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I will share a link with a google form, where students will find functional language related to holidays. Ss have to associate them with three different fuctions. 1. Asking about holidays 2. Talking about what you`d like. 3. Telling people about your holiday I will provide a demo with the first question, and I will put them in pairs to work in breakout rooms.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

I will display a slide with the target language and I will clarify first of all the expressions it`s too expensive and it`s not warm enough: Both of them have a negative connotation The fisrt one expresses excessive and the second one scarcity, so it doesn`t satify the desires. Secondly, I will clarify questions and sentences with "rather" this verb expresses choices you can pick up one option between some options. Would rather has something peculiar because is followed by a bare infinitive. Pronunciation I will model and drill pronunciation. Ss will repeat chorally.

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

I will ask students to answer some questions related to holidays. Then, Ss will switch the role of the travel agent. I will send them to breakout rooms for 5 minutes, and then I rotate them with each other.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

I will ask students to discuss who has described the most interesting holiday. Finally I will provide feedback to upgrade Ss performance.
