To provide clarification and practice of passive voices of six tenses in the context of taking a break
Subsidiary Aims

To provide gist reading practice using a text about extraordinary hotels in the context of taking a break

To provide fluency speaking practice in a freer activity of presentation in the context of extraordinary hotels
Procedure (35-45 minutes)
T shows the questions on the board and asks SS to skim the text quickly and answer the questions with their pairs. T monitors but not too closely and gets w/c feedback.
T shows HO and asks SS to look at the first part. SS will work individually and match active sentences 1-6 with their passive versions a-f in the texts they've read. T monitors closely during the activity and gives AK afterwards. No error correction can be done at this point.
T asks SS to work with their partner and shows HOs that they will be completing T gives HOs that includes meaning clarification for the first folded part, gets feedback from pairs upon completion. Error correction is a must on this stage. T asks SS to work together again, SS unfold the HOs that includes clarification of the form T gives the AK upon completion, SS check their answers.
T gives gapfill and match HO and asks the ss to work individually. T monitors and choose a S as an answer key or posts the AK on the board. T shows another HO to ss and asks them to work on their own and complete the paragraph with the correct passive form of the verbs. T gives SS the HOs and monitors while they are on the task T gets W/C feedback upon completion. Correct errors if needed.
T gives every student A3 sized paper asks SS to design their own "extraordinary hotel" T gives the questions to be answered in the presentation part which leads them to use the target language while presenting T gives SS 3 mins to design and stand up for presenting each other It is a mingle activity so SS are expected to talk with at least 2 different students T monitors during presentation and takes notes for delayed feedback T writes her notes on the board and gives them an opportunity for error correction.
