This lesson plan is designed for pre-intermediate English language learners and focuses on the theme of cultural diversity through the lens of food.   • Promote Active Listening: Encourage students to actively listen to audio or video clips, enhancing their listening comprehension skills and ability to extract information from authentic spoken language. Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Task: Show a picture of a famous international dish on the board (e.g., sushi, pizza, curry). Ask students to discuss with a partner what they know about this dish, where it's from, and if they've ever tried it. Share some responses as a class.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of the task and highlight useful words and phrases

Task: Provide students with a planning sheet where they can outline their presentations. Include sections for the dish's name, ingredients, preparation method, cultural significance, and a fun fact. Give them time to organize their thoughts and prepare a brief outline.

Report (6-8 minutes) • To allow students to report on how they did the task and how it went

Task: Each group presents their chosen dish to the class, following their outlines. Emphasize the use of the target language and encourage questions from other students after each presentation.
