Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I start talking about my favorite art expert and want the students to talk about their favorite art experts too

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

In this stage I'm going to teach the students some key vocabularies of the listening using some pictures to help them learn better. the students are going to match some pictures with the paragraphs that talk about different things related to art. then they are going to check their answers in pairs and at the end with the whole class.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The students are going to answer the question; What century did Vermeer live in or Where was he from? they are given 3 minutes to listen to the first podcast and share their answer with the class.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

The students are going to listen the podcast deeper and answer longer plus deeper and True or False question related to the listening. They will check their answers in pairs and then with the whole class.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The students are going to be divided into groups of 2 and discuss about what they wanted to do as an art expert
