Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I am going to talk about some annoying habits that my family has and then I ask my students to give some examples.

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

In this stage I am going to teach the students the highlighted vocabularies on the text using some pictures to help them learn better.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (1-2 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The students are going to look at the highlighted verb phrases in the article and find three connected with housework. They are given 2 minutes to read and share their answer with the class.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

The students are going to read the text deeper and answer the exercise 1b on page 28. They will check their answers in pairs and then with the whole class.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The students are going to discuss about the question: In what housework do they help their parents.
