Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will show to my Ss two images about the topic and also I'll ask them about this question: 1-Do you believe that dying hair makes people look fake or is it just a change of style? The idea is get the context of the lesson with a short discussion

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I will Use the audio text on p.50 Ex 3 and ask Ss. 1) What does Mickey think about Beatrice's hair? 2) Why is Beatrice going to Ireland and how does she feel about it? Conduct OCFB.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Make Ss listen to Sarah, Mickey and Beatrice's conversation again. and Answer Who do you think said these sentences, Sarah, Mickey or Beatrice? 1 I can't imagine Laurie will approve. 2 I don't suppose Beatrice will care what Laurie thinks. 3 I doubt if he'll let her work on reception looking like that. 4 He may well have to let her. 5 He's unlikely to find someone to replace her now, is he? 6 But I shouldn't think he'll care. 7 I'm bound to be a bit nervous when I get there. 8 Well, you're sure to make a memorable impression on them. 9 I daresay I'll go for something a bit less bright. 10 He's likely to have something to say about my hair.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

I will Cover the Meaning, Form, and pronunciation. and in a Forms I will use the exercise 5a from the book to help and get the feedback about modal verbs MODAL VERBS a Look at sentences 1-5 from the conversation. They all refer to the future. Which of the underlined modal verbs mean: a the speaker feels certain (C)? b the speaker thinks this is possible (P)? 1 He won't like it. 2 I might go for something boring like yours. 3 You could go back to blonde. 4 He may like it. 5 Tell him it.'.ll cheer the patients up. and then i will give them the Answer key

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

I create a CP task to provide controlled practice of the language. (on Google Forms) then, the Ss do this individually and then check in pairs (via BORs). OCFB

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

I Create a communicative task for learners to use the TL fluently, Make notes on at least six things you will probably do, might do or probably won't do in the next year. (2 minutes) I will give an example: I'll save more money the next year Then the Ss will solve this using the BORs
