Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1. Greet ss. 2. Tell ss that I'm showing them a picture and I want to know some of their thoughts. a. What do you think when you look at this? 3. Display the same slide but with the author's name and the price the piece was sold. 4. "Now, what do you think about it?"

Useful Language (4-7 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

1. ss will match the idiom with the correct definition in small groups in BORs. 2. FB in the main room. check answers.

Productive Task(s) (20-23 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Stage 1 A. Ss will discuss in BORs (2 or 3 people per group) about the first art piece. Each group will have a different piece. They will have a minute to analyse the piece before sharing their thoughts 10min ICQs: are you going to start discussing once you get into the BORs? No, we'll have a minute to analyse then we'll share our thoughts. Are you going to use the idioms in the discussion? Yes B. Brief FB in the main room. Stage 2 A. Ss will discuss in BORs (2 or 3 people per group) about the second art piece. Each group will have a different piece. They will have a minute to analyse the piece before sharing their thoughts 10min B. Brief FB in the main room.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

1. Show sentences with errors and others that can be improved and ask ss to recognise where's the error or how could they be improved.
