Procedure (31-43 minutes)
Ask the students: 1. Have you ever met a person on holiday and then stayed in touch with them? 2. Have you or anyone else you know ever had a holiday romance which has developed into a serious relationship?
1. Put the pictures of the movie "Eat, Pray, Love" on the board and ask if someone have seen it. 2. If yes, ask her to tell the story according to the photos. If no, the Ss can guess the story from the photos. 3. At this stage, the teacher presents the meanings of some target lexis indirectly to the Ss while working on the photo story.
Ss listen to Angela talking about her holiday romance.and then, they do some tasks: 1. Answer the questions, fill in the gaps. (Listen for specific information) 2. Matching lexis with their definitions. (Guessing meaning from context)
1.Read the text about Gill's holiday romance and fill in the gaps with the expressions they just learned. 2. Listen to her and compare your version. 3. With a partner, practice Gill's conversation focusing on the correct stress and intonation of the target lexis.
