Procedure (37-45 minutes)
The video will show the students the hidden sides of their identities since gender stereotypes are not always obvious, they start to follow us from our earliest days in the toy store and continue to influence us when choosing subjects at school and careers.
by the end of the lesson, students will learn to write a paragraph and a text message, understand the usage of the present simple and continuous, distinguish between different gender stereotypes and they will correctly use the adjectives of emotions to describe their friends and social circle
I will show my students different jobs and pictures and then ask them about their opinions of these jobs and how they see themselves in the future working in one of them
adjectives + preposition collocations explain the usage of adjectives to describe someone's identity + practice through completing different sentences and activities
divide the students into pairs then I will monitor and check on them while they write a paragraph about how they do and don't enjoy spending their free time
video + free conversation and talk about the differences between boys and girls according to the perspective of Vietnamese society & ways to decrease gender pay gap problems in workplaces
ask students to write a short article about women's rights and feminist movements around the world
