Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will show to my Ss an image about the topic and also I'll ask them about this question: 1- What do you know about Mongolia's culture, food, weather?

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

I'll introduce to my Ss two words from the text, but at first I will show them a picture to elicit word's meaning and I'll ask some CCQs. The words are: 1) withstad 2) wrestling I'll check the pronuntiation of these words with my SS

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

I will ask to my Ss to read the text to get a general idea. Then I will suggest a discussion about this question: 1. What does the writer think are the hardest things to deal with in Mongolia?

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

I will send to my Ss a google forms to answer some questions about the text, so I will show them the text Ss for a second chance The google forms is : https://forms.gle/4sUhoqRcDaeAT8TG7 This will be the individual work. When they have finished the google forms, I will tell the Ss to check and compare the answers in pairs in the BreakOut Rooms

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

I will ask to my Ss to disscuse in BORs about these questions: Work in groups. Discuss these questions. 1 In what ways is Mongolia different from your country? 2 What festivals do you have in your country? What happens at these festivals? 3 Think of other countries with very different cultures from yours. Which would you most like to visit and why?
