To provide process and product writing practice of an article about the new seven wonders of the world in the context of travel and tourism.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide scan and detailed reading practice using a text about the new seven wonders of the world in the context of travel and tourism.
Procedure (45-55 minutes)
1. In pairs, list the new seven wonders of the world. 2. Know their location on the world map/in the seven continents. 3. Share your findings with the teacher.
In pairs or small groups, research the following: 1. Their location. 2. Their historical significance (how old and why they were built). 3. The best time to visit them. 4. Share your findings with the teacher.
1. Use the student's findings to reformulate and provide support on the language. 2. Write the new language on the board and ask CCQs to check their understanding of the meaning. 3. Ask the students to use the new language when writing about the new seven wonders.
The students will begin writing
1. The teacher will pick a random sample of the writings. 2. Discuss some of the common mistakes with the students. 3. Write the mistakes on the board and ask the students to think of the correct forms.
