Main Aims

  • Explaining the grammar of present perfect and its difference with perfect continuous

Subsidiary Aims

  • whitch verbs cant be use in perfect present continuous and use of since and yet

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

we are going to play a game ,the game is called two truth and a lie. truth is something that happend and lie didnt happend

Exposure (2-4 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

the student`s job is guess which is truth and which is lie and which one is truth and say an example about themselves.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

i refer to grammar bank`s examples till they get the correct structure. after that i explain case of using yet and already.

Clarification (2-4 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

i use book to show a table of full form,contruction and negative form.i draw out the meaning by using timeline and not using specific time.

Controlled Practice (2-5 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

we `ll solve page 134 4B & 4A.

Free Practice (0-0 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

everyone should write a phrase with yet and already.
