In this lesson student learn some new grammar and speak by using them about some brands. the lesson started by discussion about present simple passive then know some new grammar then controlled practice finally freer practice

Main Aims

  • • To provide the student with the opportunity to practice speaking for fluency to talk about present simple passive

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1-T gives ss these questions to discuss in pairs: 1- which do you think is more important for a brand: the name or the logo ? why ? 2-Are there any brands from your country that are famous internationally? which ones? 2- Give instruction 3-ICQ 4-model 5-content feedback

Test #1 (3-5 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

smooth transition: " now I need from you to choose which sentences are passive and active ? 1-Give instruction ; - work alone -you have 1 minute 2-ICQ 3-conduct the whole class feedback by nominating some student to answer

Teach (10-15 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

T highlights the the sentence the children eat the cheese then ask them CCQs which tense is this? Is it passive or active ? then elicit the form from them then put it in passive way by helping them then follow MFP The form of passive then drill the sentence in all forms and mention why we use passive.

Test #2 (3-5 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

1-T asks SS to complete the sentence: 2-Give instruction : - complete -work alone - you have 3 minutes 3-ICQ 4-Model 5-ask them check in pairs 6-give them answer key

Free practice (10-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

T gives ss some q related to present simple passive T models the first one with student T divides ss into 3 groups T asks ss to remember your animals like ( lion - tiger - cat ) T asks ss to stand up and make a circle with their team T shows ss the Q on the pc T monitors and helps the struggling ss T chooses ss to share there answer Feedback: -T starts the content feedback. -T praises ss and gives good use of the language they picked. -T writes some of the ss mistakes on the board and elicits how they should rectify them
