Description

in this lesson students will learn about future tense. this session starts with me, talking about my own experience with prediction then i will ask the students to tell me about their experience. after highlighting one of their sentences on the board, the clarification begins. then we will do the practices on page 46 as a controlled practice and do some sort of predicting game one by one as a free practice.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (1-2 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

it will start by me, talking about my last night and the way i could not sleep because i kept thinking about tomorrow, how this is some sort of prediction and how these thoughts effect on our life.

Exposure (2-3 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

i will ask the students if they ever have thought about something and it actually happened in their life.

Highlighting (1-2 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

i will emphasis on one of the students sentences that he/she mentioned while talking and write it on the board and analyzing its structure.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

at first i will teach them the simple structures of simple future tense like; positive and negative sentences and how to make questions. after that i will describe the meaning and when should we use these specific structures with examples.

Controlled Practice (4-6 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

in this part, i will tell the students to do the exercises on page 46 individually in a specific time and then i want them to read their answers out loud so we can check them.

Free Practice (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

we will have a game, in this game students will answer this question; where do you see your classmate in ten years? they have to say a sentence to answer that one by one.
