Procedure (42-57 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
I wanna talk about what I was doing at this time.
Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation
In this stage I wanna ask my students what they were doing yesterday at 8.
Highlighting (5-10 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language
I will write past continuous forms on the board and want my students to show every single of them with a marker.
Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language
I will elicit the meaning by using time lines.
Controlled Practice (10-12 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice
they will be asked to do exercise individually then in pairs.
Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
I will use collaborative writings for my students so that they have the opportunity to use both languages.
