Procedure (34-48 minutes)
teacher sticks some film posters on the board and talks about his/her favorite move *who was it directed by? *where was it filmed? *what kind of film is it? comedy, drama,thriller, etc...
teacher asks the students to talk about their favorite movie, *who was it directed by? *where was it filmed? *what kind of film is it? comedy, drama,thriller, etc... monitor and try to elict passive forms in FB
ask the students to listen to the listening carefully and complete the sentences.(page 76 listening activity part b), with the name of the inventors. *ask the students to tell the form *why do we use passive here?
MEANING: write down the example from (grammer B) and explain the reason we use passive form. ask CCQs: (page 76 grammer part B) the teacher is going to read the explanations in grammerbank (page144 , 10A) for better understanding. FORM: write dawn an example from grammerbank (page144,10A), explain the form for the students and ask them to voluntarily have an explanaition about "past simple" for a review. ask CCQs about question form. PRONUNCIATION: start with the pronunciation exercise. remind Ss that information words are the ones which are usually stressed. tell the students that they will hear 6/7 passive sentences and they have to write 2 of them by their choice.play the tape by pausing it after each sentencefor them to write, and underline the stressed words. play the audio again and pause it after each sentence for students to repeat and copy the rythm.
students shoud do the exercise (10A page 145) individually. monitor and elict passive forms in FB.
teacher devides the students into twi groups, students in one of the groups are ticket sellers. they have all the information about the two films and the students in the other group are customers. they ask questions about one of the films and buy the ticket for it. then groups change the roles and do the roleplay again. *ask ICQ
