Procedure (45-55 minutes)

Warm-up : I will start by asking students about their last holiday (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will show them a poster about vacations

I will tell them to read a story in the book (10-12 minutes) • To make students identify sentences in the past

students will read the story individually

I will ask students to underline verbs (10-12 minutes) • To make students notice verbs in the past

Students will check the verbs in the past simple

I will ask students to extract the sentences in the past (14-16 minutes) • To give students the chance to think about the structure

Students will get the rule through examples

In this stage I will give students exercise to apply what they have learned (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

Students will answer the questions and apply the rules
