Main Aims

  • By the end of the session the SS will be able to know the sounds of the alphabet and how to say the words using it.

Subsidiary Aims

  • by the end of the session, the SS will know how to spell words and names.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The T will great the SS and talk to them about things they did. The T will ask the students:- What do you think guys, What should we know about the alphabets? T makes them in pairs to discuss. T tells the SS to share and mix it with the clarification part. the answers:- Name - Shape - Sound.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

after the T sit the context by writing Name, Shape, Sound on the board. The T will start the clarification. the Alphabet will be in a word and the words will be in sentences. T will drill the forms and the sounds with the SS.

Controlled Practice (6-7 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

the T will sit the control practice. " Now lets Practice " the T makes the S read the first sentence with its answer. the T asks the SS to do the same. no ISQS as they are beginners.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

The T will sit the freer practice " now lets speak " The T will do the example from the book with a student. --Hi "student name" how can I spell your first name"? the T will make the SS do the same. Switch the SS till the time ends.
