Main Aims

  • Main Aims • In this lesson, students will learn some vocabulary to help them to speak more natural

Subsidiary Aims

  • • To practice speaking for accuracy and fluency using the vocab that they learned in the context of pictures

Procedure

Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T shows ss pictures for a specific successful people . - T asks ss these questions : what do you see in these pictures? is it happening now a days - T gives ss questions to discuss in pairs : - T tells ss that they have 2 minutes -T asks ss tell me one thing you know about your partner.

Pre-teaching (3-5 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

- T tells ss that twe will learn some new words and show them a picture for each word - And Will go for teaching through pictures and eliciting it. - Asking CCQs like: - What can you see in the picture? - What is he /she doing? - Then drilling and writing

While- teaching #1 (4-5 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading tasks

- t asks ss to read the passage alone and give them some questions to answer it -T asks students to check in pairs - T gives the answers to ss

While- teaching #2 (7-9 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed/deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

- T tells ss to read the passage again and also the questions . - T asks ss to check in pairs . -T asks ss about the answers .

Post-Reading/Listening (5-7 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

-T gives ss questions to discuss in pairs : - T tells ss about their communicative goal - T asks icqs -T monitors ss -T gives ss contact and language feedback
