Procedure (41-55 minutes)
The lead-in activity will be presented by the teacher by practising a collaborative crosswords game of the new lexical sets or vocabulary introduced into the lesson, and this is through pair work.
To present some pre-teaching vocabulary that are related to the lesson of unusual days out.
To read the text quickly for prediction of some details and ask the students some CCQs to make sure of their understanding.
The teacher begins to clarify the concepts of the target language that are previously highlighted in the text, and uses MPF or MFP to give more clarification of the meanings, form and pronunciation of the target language and make the students elicit them by themselves.
Through multiple choice activity or handout, the teacher uses controlled practice to concept check and to investigate the students' learning process.
It is a free practice introduced by the teacher via a final group work speaking activity. The teacher let the students speak freely with their classmates after dividing them into groups and leave much space for them to contact and communicate expressing their plans and arrangements for free days out in the town or city they are living in.
Finally, the teacher gives his feedback to achieve his students' fluency by correcting the mistakes he observed during the freer practice.
