Description

In this lesson , Students will learn some new vocabulary that they can used to express about them self or about things they see a round them. Some of these words are noun, verbs, or adjectives.start with an activity as a lead in then ss will be exposed to PTV to facilitate the blocking words that may hinder ss understanding. Then they read the text quickly to skim and answer a gist questions. The clarification stage will help students understand the vocabulary words then they have a controlled and freer practice.

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification, review and practice of the new words if its noun or verb or adjectives .

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide skim reading practice Using a text about the world's weirdest museums .

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (1-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I 'll show them some pictures and ask them about it .

Exposure (5-7 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I 'll show them a video that will explain a little bit about the lesson. then i will discuss about it

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

I 'll show them some pictures and discuss about it .

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

I'll show them some pictures then i 'll clarify the meaning of the word . after that i'll let them repeat it after me then to put it in a sentence .

Controlled Practice (5-8 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

I 'll divided them to groups and let them read parts of the story pg.34

Semi-Controlled Practice (5-8 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

1.I give students 2 minutes to answer a alone to read the questions and to think about the answers pg.35 then open class. This exercise reviews the meaning of other different nouns and adjectives. Elicit the type of words and elicit where the stress is placed?

Free Practice (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

1. I let students think of an exciting museum that they want to visit. 2. I divide students into groups and let them speak in groups. 3. I give them the content and languge feedback
