Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I have provided some topics to talk about , using the new words and simple present(both in negative and positive form) + (frequency adverbs) and ask questions related to their personal lives. this way I'll set the context and engage them with what they'll study this session.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

students are going to listen to the audio and talk about what they understood without looking at the text and then they are going to complete the box with correct verbs in pair groups .the teacher is going to start reading the text aloud after reading one sentence I'm going to ask for a nominee to continue and I'll continue doing this throughout the text whilst repeating the correct answer for each part of the text.

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

After listening to other audios and doing the exercises, I'll ask them to role play as Lisa Parson and then as themselves. they will ask and answer in pairs. Then I'll set the context for the grammar box, talking about what time I usually wake up, how often I eat breakfast and I'll be asking them same questions. I'll be telling them about a member of my family that wakes up sooner because of his job using present simple as well as frequency adverbs.

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

I'll be writing the grammar structure on the board using multiple examples, then I'll ask them to answer relative questions on their CB. next I'll draw a calendar on the board, checking their time of frequency(always=checking everyday of the week_ never=checking no column of the weekdays on the table) + telling them where in context these adverbs are used.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

I have provided some flash cards with different verbs on them. I'll be giving each one of the students a card and ask them to make sentences using those frequency adverbs written on the board. at the end of the class I'll ask about their plan for the weekend.
