In this lesson, sts will develop their receptive skills throught a listening activity about " the Habits of the Internet".This task which will be given will help sts to practise the skill of listenting for gist and specefic information.Also, they will practise the skill of speaking for fluncy.

Main Aims

To provide listening practice using a text about Our Digital World in the context of Internet Habits

Subsidiary Aims

To provide speaking practice in a covesation in the context of I

Procedure (31-46 minutes)

lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To get sts engaged & interested in the topic

Ask the sts if they use the Internet very often. If so,for how long? For what?

Prepration for listening (5-10 minutes) • To get sts ready for listening (for gist).

From ex5a , I cut the pictures and put them randomly. Eliciting from sts using pictures. What can they see? Ok. We are going to listen to the Internet Habbits so in pairs,please, while listening put the picturs in order. After listening , check as a group WCFB

While listening (15-20 minutes) • To practise listening for comprehention

Give sts fill in handout to improve their undestanding of the recording. Show them the questions of ex 5c ask them to answer them individually while listening play the CD . Peer FB WCFB

Post-listening (3-5 minutes) • To prepare sts for speaking task

Get an example of a question about internet habbits onto WB Add more details for the question. In pairs sts write their own questions.

Post -listening (5-7 minutes) • To give sts practice in speaking for fluency

Change pairing Sts interview each other WCFB
