T shows a slide with examples from the text using these phrases and elicits form learners which are used to compare, to talk about similarities or differences. Then T shows the slide with the answer key and send it to the chat for ss to download.
Ss are asked to write their own guide. "Imagine a friend from another country wants to study in yours. What do you think will be useful for them to know about your country?" T displays a slide with the aspects they should write about: People stereotypes, food, holidays, living costs. Ask them if there are any questions. If not, provide them with a google doc link so they can start (15 min) *Send them to break out rooms in pairs so they can help each other if they need it.
When they finished writing, ss are provided with a checklist to check and correct their partners' guides. T makes sure that ss understand the checklist. Ss are sent to breakout rooms in pairs for feedback (10 min*) After coming back, ss share their experience regarding giving feedback to each other.
