Procedure (32-41 minutes)
- T starts sharing her screen - T asks Ss to think about someone special to them and share how they first met - Ss share their experiences
- T plays audio of people telling how they first met their spouse. - T asks Ss what the audio is about. - Ss share their opinion.
- T shows Ss a transcript of the audio. - T asks Ss to find which actions are longer than others. - Ss have 2 min. to read and answer. - T shows answers.
Meaning: - T asks Ss CCQs about. (when did this happen? Is the action still happening? What actions are longer/shorter?) - Ss answer. - T corrects if needed Form: - T asks Ss to identify the structure used. (multiple choice) - Ss answer. - T shows the correct answer. - T shows Ss 3 sentences. - T asks Ss to identify the subject, was/were, and verb in these sentences. - Ss participate. - T corrects if needed. Pronunciation: - T models pronunciation for 3 sentences. - T asks Ss to find the stress. - Ss answer. - T conducts pronunciation drills.
- T asks Ss to use the correct form of the verb to complete 4 sentences. - T sends google forms link. - Ss have 3 min to answer. - T shows answers to Ss.
- T asks Ss to think about someone important to them. - T forms pairs in breakout rooms. - T asks Ss to share with their partners: how did you meet them? what is your favorite memory with them? what were you doing the last time you saw them? - Ss must speak at least 1 minute each. - Ss will change pairs 2 or 3 times depending on time and number of Ss.
