Procedure (45 minutes)
The teacher starts the lesson with greeting the students. Then the teacher asks each student to stand-up and give all of them a different flashcard with different verb or prepositions on them. After that the teacher asks students who has verb flashcards to find their partner who has the correct preposition to go with. If they know the correct preposition they can directly go near their preposition, and if they don't know the teacher encourages them to check their dictionary. When all of the students find their partner they will sit together and write an example sentence using their verb and preposition together in the padlet page.
In this stage, the teacher asks students to work with their partner and do the Ex.9A in which they need to choose the correct prepositions to complete the verb phrases. In feedback, the teacher nominates some students for the answers and writes all correct answers on the board.
In this part, the teacher provides a context and elicit the meanings of verbs with their prepositions from students by showing visuals and other eliciting techniques. Then the teacher shows the correct usage form of the verbs and their prepositions. After that the teacher does drillings for the verbs and their prepositions.
In this stage, the teacher asks students to work with their partner and do the "all about you" exercise to review verb phrases with prepositions, in which they need to choose the correct prepositions to complete the verb phrases and practice speaking skills by asking personal questions to other students. In feedback, the teacher nominates some students for the answers.
