Meaning: Match expressions to the correct synonym. Form: categorise part of speech. Both these tasks will be completed using a Google Form. Ss work in BORs for about 4 min and complete the Google Form together to clarify meaning. Ss stay in BORs to continue working on controlled practice.
T keeps Ss in BORs to work on controlled practice. When Ss return, T checks answers with Ss and provides relevant feedback. Pronunciation (this is covered now in order to prepare Ss for freer practice): Stress at sentence level. T provides a couple of examples from the dialogue to clarify that stress falls on nouns and verbs (content words) instead of prepositions and pronouns (grammar words)
