Procedure (37-45 minutes)
1. The teacher shows a video about different careers. 2. Students are asked to guess the topic based on the video. 3. Students read and discuss a related quotation in breakout rooms. 4. Students reflect on their discussions and share their findings with the class.
T divides ss into groups and asks them to differentiate between career, work and job. T checks ss's answers
T asks ss to go to Jam board and answer the following question individually Which of these areas do you work in or would like to work in? Why? T asks ss to share there answers in the breakout rooms with their friends and then reflect on one's friend's answers. T divides ss into two groups and asks them to prepare a debate based on the activity of choosing the most important tips to get ahead.
T moves around the breakout room during the production stage and takes notes of the errors that Ss commit while they are speaking with their peers. T writes the errors on the board, draws Ss attention to the errors, asks for peer correction or corrects the errors himself.
