Description

In this lesson students learn some words related to schools and their related memories. the lesson starts with a discussion about Teacher's memory of her high school.This is followed by a listening file ( some people talk about weather they like school of not ). then students do some exercise and the class finished by a discussion about high school.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In this stage teacher talks about a reunion which she invited. and says how much she loves that time.and ask students whether they like that time or not and why??

Pre-Reading/Listening (2-3 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

in this stage teacher is going to pre-teach some key vocabularies via some pictures to help students better understanding. teacher asks students if anyone knows it(new word) before explains it to the class.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (4-3 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

In this stage teacher shows students some picture which describe the content of listening file and asks them to guess what's the point? and what is about? and then students listen to the recording for the first time and check the answers(guessing) in pairs.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (4-3 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

In this stage teacher asks students to listen to the recording again and write (√) if they liked school, (X)if they disliked school, and (√X) if they liked something but not others.and then check the answer with partner and then with whole class.

Post-Reading/Listening (3-4 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

In this stage Teacher asks whole class discuss about what government can do for making schools more suitable place for learning.
