Phonology: To provide accuracy of intnation of the words, sentence stress and clarify pronunciation.
Procedure (8-49 minutes)
Instructions: T starts the lesson by showing some photos. T will ask learners to provide some ideas about the image. Question: What do you remember about these events? Aim: excited, worried, nervous, embarrassed, relaxed, surprised, bored
we will explore the feelings we feel during our first and last times at these events. *T provides HO1 Jamboard to students to interact with the board, T explains the instructions: -Look at the list of important first and Last. Tick the reaction you had when it happened. -T models the first example: when I first drove a car, I remember I was very nervous, because... -After finishing 1 or 2 students are nominated to participate.
MEANING/FORM TASK: On jamboard DEMO: T demos shows the screen and gives instructions. FORM T shows slides and elicits the differences between Using Future will and simple past to express "First and last times" and a common phrase. PRONUNCIATION T shows slide T elicits from ss stressed word in sentences. T goes over unique and difficult features of each sentence. INSTRUCTIONS: • Share and discuss a first or last time event that happened to you. remember that you can make questions on your partner's story. • DEMO: Share an experience of "first or last time" and invite Ss to make questions about it, some examples are "Who was with you? How old were you at the time? Where did this happen?" INSTRUCTIONS: we will now think about the stories heard and discuss: -Which was the saddest story? -Which was the funniest story? -Which was the strangest story? comment in a "what if" session based on the memories shared between Ss. DEMO: which was the saddest story? what would you do if you were in that situation? Has it happened something similar to you?
