Description
ın this lesson students learn the alphabet ,spelling their names and greetings through doing activities. First they will find the other half of the word they are given as a warm up activity. Then they will be presented a ppt on alphabet and spell their names. They are going to practise greetings through listenning to dialogues. In order to practise spelling they will be given cue cards and talk about themselves as they are famous people.

Main Aims

To provide gist listening practice using a text about hello in the context of greetings
Procedure (40-45 minutes)
warm up (7-8 minutes) • to make students relaxed and involved in
the students will be given handouts including half of the words. They will mingle and find the other half of the Word and complete it. e.g. notebook.
PPT (18-20 minutes) • To introduce the alphabet
the teacher will show the pictures and the first letter of the word which starts with A-B-C- etc. ang get the answer from the students to practice the alphabet and spelling.
THE LISTENING ACTIVITY (7-8 minutes) • TO PRACTICE SPELLING AND GREETINGS THROUGH LISTENING
The students will listen to the dialogues and find the missing words in order to share with their partners.
FAMOUS PEOPLE (8-9 minutes) • TO PRACTICE SPELLING, THE QUESTIONS "WHERE ARE YOU FROM? WHAT IS YOUR NAME?", AND GREETINGS.
The students will be given cue cards include information about famous people. They will ask and answer questions to practice the spelling and greetings.
