Teacher tells students that they will read two texts for gist. Teacher makes/shows students a question: what is the situation in both of the letters? Students share with a partner their thoughts, teacher takes notes for further OCFB. Students share their thoughts with teacher, teacher asks follow-up questions such as: - are they both unemployed because of the same reason? - what is the difference?
Teacher draws students' attention to the highlighted words by asking them: what do you think the words in bold are referring to? what do they mean? are these words talking about past? present? future? Students answer.
Teacher covers Meaning by saying that all of the phrases talk about present but that they have differences: one is talking about something happening at the moment and the other one is talking about a permanent action. Which one is each? Teacher explains the differences between Present Continuous and Present Simple and their uses. Teacher explains the rule (Form). Teacher covers Pronunciation with the examples of the text.
Teacher tells students that they will answer an activity based on one of the past texts. Remember to pay attention to know which verbs will be in PC and which ones in PS. Students answer individually and compare with a partner. Teacher shows answer key. If possible, teacher asks sutdents "how do you know this was the correct verb?".
Teacher gives students 5 different questions in order for them complete them using PC or PS. Teacher shows answer key. Students get with a partner and teacher tells them to ask the questions to each other, using the tenses correctly + one follow-up question. Teacher asks them what did they talked about. DEC
