Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

- I will ask the Ss. the following 2 questions as a kind of lead in : 1-Do you live in a house or an apartment? 2-In your country where can you buy furniture? I will accept all answers. Then I will remind the Ss. of the word flat that means the same as apartment.Then I will show them the difference between flat and house by showing them pictures to get the difference. Also the meaning of the word store which means shop. -Next, I will ask students to read the Ad. about furniture and answer the questions.

Test #1 (3-5 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

-I will show the students some pictures of the target vocabulary to test what they know first and what they don't know. - Students will work in groups or pairs to check what they know. - From this stage I will decide which words do I need to teach.

Teach (7-10 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

I will teach the students the new vocabulary by: - clarifying the meaning first.Then, I will drill for pronunciation and after that word stress and form. Next students will repeat chorally and then individually.

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

In this stage, I will test students understanding of the target language and check whether they got it or not. I will give them a fill in the gap question as a fully controlled practice of the target language for accuracy.Next, a semi controlled practice by giving them some pictures about the living room and they are going to name the objects or the pieces of furniture that they can find in it.

Free practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Lastely, I will give them a freer practice to choose one room and talk about it in their group. This task to encourage their fluency using the target language.
