Procedure (49 minutes)
Ask the class who likes Mcdonald's vs Burger King? Start clip right away.
Teacher will set task beforehand. 1) How much does his order cost? 2) How much is broccoli? 3) Why does she feel guilty? Quick discussion..
What is she afraid of?
How is it inside the hen house? Introduce lexis: Mass production like an assembly line in a factory. Why do chickens plop down? Is it easier to catch chickens in the dark? Who works in the chicken factories? What happens to the dead chickens? Lexis: feces,plop down, mass production,assembly line,undocumented workers
Start by asking the class: 'What will happen if you eat McDonald's everyday for 30 days?' Is corn good for the cows? Is it natural? What do cows usually eat? Lexis: cattle
Set tasks before 'supersize me' Ask class to listen for: what do you think will happen if he eats McDonalds for 30 days? How is he feeling after Day 1?
How does he feel Day 3? What is a 3 day hump? Are nuggets made from normal chickens?
Is he happy?
Day 18 Are the doctors shocked? How many pounds of sugar did he consume? How many pounds of fat? How much weight did he gain?
Who would you like to see go first you or them? Do you think we should eat tomatoes in the winter? Is it the same here in Turkey?
