Description

In this lesson the students are going to learn some new vocabularies clothing and the dress code. They will focus on the text and answering and discussing the title/question of the reading.

Main Aims

  • To provide detailed reading practice using a text about uniforms in the context of the function material and advantages/disadvantages of uniforms

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide clarification of clothes in the context of materials function .....

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-4 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

the teacher starts taking about getting ready in the morning and the difficulty of getting ready in the morning . he wants the students to engage in the conversation and talk about their struggles of getting ready.

Pre-Reading/Listening (3-4 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

in this stage the teacher I going to teach the students some key vocabulary and blocking words using pictures

While-Reading/Listening #1 (1-3 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

the students are going to match some pictures with the paragraphs and talk about the functions of uniforms

While-Reading (5-7 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

the students are going to read the text deeper and answer some questions about the text and check their answers with each others

Post-Reading/Listening (3-5 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

the students are going to divided into groups and talk about uniforms and whether they are for or aginst it and have they ever had to wear uniforms in the past.
