To practice the present continuous questions and short answers in the context of two listening tasks on people at work .
Subsidiary Aims

To practice listening for gist, specific information and detail through the context of a phone call at work.
Procedure (45 minutes)
I will start the lesson by sitting the students into groups of three or four. Then, I will ask them to work with a partner to describe what the people are doing in the pictures and tell me where they are .They talk as much as they can .
By using pictures , CQs and the board I'm going to introduce the new vocab items . They are darling , kids ,move and sign .
To get the students' interest and attention I will ask them to listen and tell me how many people are talking on the phone.
The students will listen to a phone call between Frank and Liz to be able to answer the questions. Then , they check their answers in groups.
I will stick some words on the board and draw a table . Then I will ask the students to complete the table so that they will be familiarized with the correct form of the question. Then , using a hand out they write positive and negative short answers for the given questions.
The students are going to read the conversation between Frank and his wife . Then , they make questions in the present continuous tense . Finally , They listen to the phone call and check their answers.
I will stick two pictures on the board . The students are going to make sentences comparing what the people are doing in them saying " In A Frank is .......... but in B he's ................ ".
