Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will share my screen presenting the two following questions to start introducing the context: 1. Do you know what achievements are? 2. Can you name some of them? In this section I will ask my Ss these questions and I am going to hear their answers and complement them with some more ideas

Pre-Reading/Listening (4-6 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

I will ask my Ss to check and read the following sentences with some words they might not know from the reading that it is going to be presented later MEANING 1. Her good looks and ELOQUENCE have made her something of a celebrity. CCQ´s: Do you think if she a famous person? 2.JUGGLER breaks world record. CCQ's: Is it someone who practices a sport? 3. She has also received warm PRAISE for her acting skills. CCQ's: Did she obtain an award or a degree? FORM I wil elicit the form to my Ss so they will be able to identify the words better PRONUNCIATION 1. I will utter the words in capital letter so my Ss can hear the right pronunciation 2. I will ask Ss to identify the stress and the number of syllabus of the word 3. I will ask my Ss to do a choral repetition after me for checking pronunciation

While-Reading/Listening #1 (3-7 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

I will ask my Ss to read the texts without the title so their job will consist to find the right one (title) and match it with the corresponding text. This is going to be an individual activity. They will have 3 minutes to read the texts they will skim only. I am going to send a link on google forms for them in order to select their answers. After doing the activity I will conduct OCFB

While-Reading/Listening #2 (10-15 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

I will ask my students to read the text again (scanning) for 5 minutes (this is going to be individual). After finish reading Ss will read the following statments presented on google forms and they have to select if they are true or false (individual first), they will have 4 minutes for this I will ask my Ss to justify their answers and they will have to compare them in the break up rooms with their classmates . After this I wil conduct OCFB for a better understanding

Post-Reading/Listening (8-12 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

I will ask my Ss to discuss the following activity: Order the five achievements in order 1= the most impressive to 5 = the least worthwhile. Ss must share their ideas with their classmates, they will go to break up rooms to disscus. (they will have 5 minutes) After finish the activity I will conduct feedback and DEC
