By introducing and practicing different sets of phrases regarding behavior and attitude students will be able to increase their wordage and elaborate on their ideas with ease. Also, they'll be able to understand more nuances in team work related environments like the workplace.

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification, practice and review of Attitude and Behavior related words and phrases in the context of texts about employees work profiles

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of attitude, behavior and team work

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (4-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1) T shows two short videos about teamwork (and people in a group) 2) T asks SS to questions about one or more characters in the videos - "What kind of person is he?" - "What makes him a good leader?" - "Is he a team player or causes trouble? 3) T tries to elicit answers from SS as much as possible 4) Each video lasts less than 1 minute

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a short texts

1) Share screen to show exercise (Google Forms) 2) T gives instructions to SS: SS have to use pen and paper to write down the answers. 3) They have to work individually first. (3 min) 4) When they finish, they'll compare answers with peers in BORs (3 min) 5) When they're back, OCFB. (2-3 min)

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

1) T shares screen with SS 2) Go over the slides making sure to elicit answers from SS

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

1) T shares screen with SS 2) T provides instructions and time limit Work individually Send a "thumbsup" to point out they're done SS have (3 min) 3) Send link to Google Forms 4) When they finish, send SS to BORs to compare answers (3min) 5) When they're back carry out OCFB (2-3min)

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

1) T shares screen to show Google PPT 2) T gives instructions using the Google PPT What to do How to do it Time limit (3-4 min) 3) T send link to SS 4) When they're back, Team Leader shares answers with the class (3-4 min for BOTH) 5) Conduct OCFB and DEC (3 min)
