Description

In this lesson the students will use the weather calendar to find out how the weather changes each day, but this will be how the weather is in the class and how they think the weather will be on other days, describing the weather of the day

Materials

Abc weather calendar

Main Aims

  • To provide process the students get to know the climates that take place on certain days and describe how the day is

Subsidiary Aims

  • Get students to use the weather calendar to be able to know the changes that occuer on certain days

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Start the class by asking the students to observe for a few minutes how the weather is to say how it is said about that weather if it changed at a certain moment or if it is a different climate from the previous day

Exposure (3-5 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

show the students a calendar along with several images of climates, we will place the climate both in the image and in writing on the calendar

Useful Language (10-15 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Give the students a sheet with a calendar, they are going to remember the weather that was three days ago and write it down on their calendar and from that take three days as they think the weather will be in the following days.

Productive Task(s) (10-12 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Describe the students in their notebooks what the weather of the day looks like. For that, key words will be written in relation to what it looks like on certain days. The student will select according to what the weather is like.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

see what the students wrote about their weather as it is and if there are any doubts
