Description

In the last session, the aim was for the student to be able to identify the different types of climates. In this session it is planned that the student manages to identify some garments that are used according to the climate that is presented.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Play a game where the student must say a word from the previous class, followed by two applause giving his partner a turn.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of the task and highlight useful words and phrases

Present the group with a quiz of Kahoot! where they will be presented with the image of a climate and in the options there will be several items of clothing, they must choose which one corresponds to the climate that is being presented

Task (8-10 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

The students will get together in pairs and among themselves they will show cards where clothes and the weather will come, they will try to guess what it is like in English.

Planning (6-8 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to plan students' reports

The students will go to the teacher with the cards and begin to mention the words according to the cards that appear and the teacher will rate how much the students have acquired.

Report (6-8 minutes) • To allow students to report on how they did the task and how it went

Participations and opinions of the students will be taken about what was difficult for them during the activity and what they would like to do to improve, they will give their opinion about whether they liked working in teams or what other types of activities they would like to do according to the theme

Language Analysis (6-8 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the task language

With the help of a Power Point presentation they will be helped by showing the garments according to the corresponding climate. The pronunciation of the words will be worked on so that the student can pronounce them with better fluency and that they can acquire some of these words. The doubts that the student has about the pronunciation or the meaning of the words will be clarified.

Language Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with practice of the task language

The teacher will say the pronunciation of some words and the student must repeat it, then the teacher will do it again and now he will go from student to student to have the opportunity to correct him and so that he can improve. Here I will ask the following questions to see if the students can find the relationship between the keywords that were shown in the last session and the ones that they are expected to know in this session: -Today is sunny, what clothes should I wear? A jacket and boots or a dress and sandals? -If I want to go on a trip to Canada, what should I not miss in my suitcase? a hat and gloves or a bathing suit? -If you want to go to the beach on vacation, what should you pack?
