Procedure (36-47 minutes)
Show a picture of the solar system and get answers from students about what they know. Engage students in a brief discussion about space and the solar system, asking questions such as "What is your favorite planet?" or "Have you ever seen a shooting star?"
Introduce new vocabulary words related to the solar system using cards and pictures. Provide sample sentences using vocabulary words to familiarize students with sentence structures. Practice the pronunciation of vocabulary words through repetition and drilling exercises.
Distribute a worksheet with prompts for simple sentences related to the solar system. In pairs or small groups, students will take turns completing the sentences using the vocabulary words provided. Supervise and assist students as they work, providing feedback and clarification where necessary.
Present a short passage or dialogue about the solar system, either by reading aloud or by listening. Provide comprehension questions to guide students to understand the text at a deeper level. Encourage students to discuss and answer the questions in pairs or small groups. Hold a whole class discussion to share your findings and insights.
