Description
In this lesson, students learn the vocabulary of the different remedies for the different diseases that can occur in humans. First we will start giving signs of diseases, then we provide the vocabulary of medicines and finally we relate which cure which

To provide deduction reading practice using a text about healrhy in the context of medicine
Procedure (45-55 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Tell the story that he pretended to be sick to not attend school, this in order to receive a reflection from the student
Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible
Pretend to be sick so that students ask what I have and I answer an illness, looking for them to recommend remedies or medicines
While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks
Provide the vocabulary of different medicines and relate them as a remedy for their respective diseases
While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks
Use the cards for students to match the photos of illnesses with the medicine
Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned
Pass two students at the same time so that one mimes suffering from a disease and the other has to choose the photograph of the medicine
